Being Celebrated

“Don’t stay where you are tolerated,
Go where you are celebrated”

Was one powerful quote for me some years ago.

Now it returned but with a twist.

Lately I’ve been carrying this saying with me
While I’ve been reflecting on how I celebrate myself.

You know that there are things you just don’t like about yourself.
Those behaviors that don’t serve you well.
Those beliefs that just stick and won’t go away.

And then you keep blaming yourself and feeling ashamed.

Yeah. And that’s a sign that you are not tolerating what you are and do.

But what to do, when you can’t walk away from that?
You keep following along no matter how far you run..

So I decided it’s time to start celebrating myself.
And to it’s time to take action that I can be proud of.

It’s all about baby steps here.
It’s about giving a pat on your shoulder instead of beating yourself up again.
