I started blogging and had my first website created ten years ago!
This series is a sneak peek back into those days (and illustrations).
I took a plunge into one of my old blogs which was called “Luovuuden linnassa” that means “Inside the Castle of Creativity”, quite a humble name…
I was really active with it in 2011 and 2012.
It was the place where I shared all kinds of crafts and design that I created while my kids were little – For them and with them.
It was such a bright, colorful and joyful place to visit!
Mira made it in there too, when I crocheted her little figure out like this – With her heart awake but also another one of her with her ego.
She was quite pissed out in her ego’s company…

I tackled all kinds of issues in this blog when it came to spending time at home with little kids. My solution always was to create something fun with my own hands. And it worked!
This black bucket was our composting bin, and I painted this Moomin character on it to inspire my children to recycle. He’s called Stinky, and that’s what this bucket truly was too.
I thought it was great fun to walk outside carrying this guy to our recycling station.

I crocheted a lot of toys for my kids – This time it was the angry birds that they asked for. I made my own designs, and somehow yarn just turned into all kinds of toys in my hands. My kids loved to follow how I made their toys.
I also created crocheting tutorials of my own designs and taught crocheting for adults.

Some of the crocheting was to make my own journey more colorful. I made this crocodile for carrying my yoga mat, and before this one I had created a fox for the same purpose.
Whenever I went in Helsinki centrum before my yoga class I got stopped often for questions, so much fun these were for others too.
I can’t wait for a chance to take them out again!

This was pretty much the last project that I reported in the blog. It was time to move on to new adventures. These puppets are all hand-made from the beginning. I watched some You Tube videos and used a lot of glue, but they are still looking great and they were played with a lot.

Altogether I had about 145 projects introduced in that blog in a couple of years.
There have been many more projects after that too, I just live in a creative flow.
Adding color and fun in my life with it is what makes life so much brighter!
