This is one of my personal favorites from all the doodles I’ve ever drawn. I studied this lesson on May 17th, 2014 and scribbled this tiny artist stick-figure character as I wrote down the words from ACIM Workbook.
To me, as an artist, this image speaks volumes. I have spent years practicing capturing on paper or canvas what I see.
But the closer I look…
…the lovelier it is.
(Sidenote: On the left, you can see how I tend to write my notes in Finnish or English, whichever comes out of my pen first. Translation: “About yesterday’s lesson…” )
On my second round of studying the lessons, I encountered lesson #37 on February 6th, 2019 and a story started to come alive on the pages of my notebook.
Now it’s redrawn for my new book!
It’s a story of resistance.
I’ve got this rebellious streak that makes me occassionally resist anything and everything… Like in this story Mira helped me visualize how I rebelled against the thought that I could view myself as holy.
Is it easy for you?
I hope it is!
I eventually came to agreement and found peace with my holiness, phew.
Illustrating struggles like this has helped me to remember how to deal with my tendency to resist and rebel whenever it comes up again. And it sure does!
I’m really excited to share my stories and doodles with you in Through the Thought Clouds! I hope they help you as much as they’ve helped me, and not only with my A Course in Miracles studies, but also in my everyday life.
